He attended the University of Tennessee at Martin before graduating from Jackson State Community College. He received an Associates of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 1999.

Jeff has experience in the Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, Home Health and Outpatient settings with over 18 years of outpatient physical therapy experience. He is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. Jeff is also a veteran of the United States Navy.

Jeff is a native of Greenfield but now resides in Martin with his wife Stephenie Leyhue to whom he has been married to for 27 years. They have four children, two sets of twin girls: Kaley and Kendall (ages 23) and Avery and Emerson (ages 16). Kaley is married to Cody Campbell and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree as an Occupational Therapist. Kendall is married to Jake Wylie and is a Certified PreK-3 teacher for the Weakley County School System. Avery and Emerson are currently sophomores at Westview High School. Jeff and Stephenie own Verbalize Speech and Language Center where Stephenie provides pediatric speech therapy and audiology services as a Speech Language Pathologist and Audiologist. Jeff is a member of First Baptist Church in Martin and is a previous member of the Westview Booster Club Board. His hobbies are spending time with his family, the outdoors, and working as a football official for the TSSAA and NCAA.
