Whether you are wanting to lose weight, tone up, run a race, or change your sedentary lifestyle, you have to believe in yourself. How many times have you watched someone reach a goal and think, “I wish I could do that?” All people have a purpose. With that purpose, come talents, abilities, and gifts. Sometimes, we just have to dig down deep to find what those specialties are. When I meet a client, I always like to assess them to find out what their goals are. It is also just as important to find out what has been holding them back, and “why now?” Sometimes, it is a busy schedule, life happenings, or financial boundaries that restrict people from tapping into their fitness journeys. Believe it or not, these are easily adjusted with time management and finding plans that work with you financially.
The hardest and most challenging obstacle is when you are being held back due to fear, anxiety, or self-doubt. I understand that a gym can be intimidating. Some clients will say that they wanted to work out, but were too embarrassed to ask how to use the equipment. Some clients have said that they have started and stopped exercising so many times that they just gave up altogether. Others say that their goals seemed unreachable, so they just quit. Believe it or not, there are great athletes that have had the exact same thoughts. Setting new goals in life can be challenging and overwhelming, but it can also be rewarding, self-gratifying, and life-changing.
The first step in changing your thoughts is by reminding yourself that YOU HAVE A PURPOSE! I love the saying from Steve Marshall that says: “We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future.” I have seen clients exceed the goals that we discussed at our first meeting all because they believed in themselves. Yes, it took some sacrifices, hard work, and dedication, but each of us is designed for great things. For every one person that succeeds, their success encourages someone else. I encourage you to uncover those dreams and bury the doubt. Maybe you have been waiting for the right time. Well, TODAY is a great day to start. We have several classes each and every day that is included in your membership fee! I welcome you to try my Cardio Interval classes on Monday/Wednesday/Fridays and can assure you that it is open to any level. I will assist you with each station and make sure that you feel comfortable with the exercises. We also have trainers that would be glad to help you with creating a training plan. There is also a Varsity class for those that may want to take their fitness to a more challenging level. No matter what your goals might be, just remember to “Believe In Yourself!”
